*4.3.3,2 Moisture content of propellant (see dwg. 9287785)
Major A defect. - The contractor shall provide adequate controls
to insure compliance with the applicable requirement. The
moisture content of each lot of propellant shall be determined
at the loading station at the time of loading the charges.
This determination shall be made at least once each eight (8)
hours of production. Testing of the propellant shall be in
accordance with Standard MIL-STD-286, Method 102.1. In addition,
if the moisture content fails to comply with the requirement
specified on the applicable drawing and loading has not begun,
the lot shall be rejected until corrective action has been
taken as verified by repeating the moisture content determination.
If loading has begun, charge assemblies loaded with the non-
conforming propellant shall be rejected.
*4.3.3.3 Primer Pin Push Test. (see dwg. 9287785)
Major A defect - (Destructive Test)
*4.3. 3.3.1 Beginnin with the first lot produced and
continuing until three (3) consecutive lots have complied with
the acceptance criteria specified, two hundred (200) charge
assemblies, less propellant, and wad, shall be selected from
each lot and tested In accordance with 4.4.1. The lot shall be
rejected if four (4) or more charges are classed defective.
*4.3.3.3.2 After three (3) consecutive lots have cmplied
with the criteria of 4.3.3.3.1, eighty (80) charge assemblies,
less propellant and wad, shall be selected from each lot for test.
The lot shall be rejected if two (2) or more defects occur.
*4.3.3.4 Primer pin to charge case resistance (See dwg,
9287785) Major A Defect, - The lot shall be tested one hundred
percent (100%) in accordance with the test procedures specified
in 4.4.2. Assembles failing to comply with all of the specified
requirements shall be classed defective and removed from the
lot.
*4.3.3.5 Immersion Test (see dwg. 9287785) - Major A Defect -
*4.3.3.5.1 Beginning with the first lot produced and
continuing until three (3) consecutive lots have `complied with
the acceptance criteria specified, two hundred (200) charge
assemblies shall be selected from each lot and tested in
accordance with 4.4.3. The lot shall be rejected is four (4 )
or more charges are classed defective. (see Note 1)
