left standing for a minimum of 30 minutes. The container shall
then be tested for the specified leakage rate of 0.1 p.s.i.
If the leakage rate exceeds the specified requirement the
container shall be classed defective and removed from the
lot. Testing is non-destructive and only accepted containers
shall be returned to the lot.
PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
5.
Preservation, Packing and Marking.
5.1
5.1.1 Dispensers.
5.1.1.1 Level A. - The dispenser assembly shall be
preserved, packed and marked in accordance with dwg. 9298966.
5.1.1.2 Packing. - The dispenser assembly shall be
packed in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations,
CFR 49 Parts 100-199.
Canisters and Reload Kits.
5.1.2
5.1.2.1 Level A. - The canister assemblies and reload
kits shall be preserved packed and marked in accordance with
dwg. 9296697.
5.1.2.2 Packing. - The canister assemblies shall be
packed in the reload kit in accordance with the Code of
Federal Regulation, CFR 49, Parts 100-199,
5.2 Shipping. - When components of more than one lot
are shipped, each lot shall be kept separate and the division
between lots clearly indicated to prevent mixing of the lots
in transit.
6.1 Intended Use. -
6.2 Ordering Data. - Procurement documents shall specify
the following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification.
b.
Provisions for submission of first article samples.
Provisions of MIL-A-48078.
