b. Following step "a", the micropiston actuator, on activation, shall
enable spring loaded slider and its explosive trains to move to the
in-line/armed position as per 4.5.13.2.
3.6 In-line explosive functioning. The armed S&A assembly shall
demonstrate high order functioning through the MDF assembly and/or main charge
lead explosive trains, as applicable.
3.6.1
MDF train functioning. Upon initiation of the M100 detonator, the
MDF train
explosive elements shall function high order and cause the specified
min. dent
in the aluminum witness plate, at the temperature indicated when
tested in
accordance to 4.5.14 and 4.5.14.1
3.6.2 Main charge lead train functioning - Dwg. 9328692: Delay
Detonator, PA506. - Dwg. 9328743: Microdetonator M100. Upon initiation of
the appropriate detonator for the particular S&A listed above, the main charge
lead train explosive elements shall function high order and cause the
specified min. dents in a steel confining ring (witness block) at the
temperature indicated. The test shall be performed as specified in 4.5.14.2.
3.7 Verification of safe condition of S&A assemblies. Prior to
packaging, positive verification of the presence and safe position of the
following features shall be made for each assembly (See 4.5.15).

Interlock pin
b.
Borerider ball lock
c.
Borerider
d.
Slider release and shear pin
e. Slider assembly
3.8 Detonator and micropiston actuator short circuit. The resistance of
the short circuit across the detonator(s)/micropiston actuator shall be less
than 0.015 ohm.
